Meet the teacher night
Bluewater State School offers a Meet the Teacher Night within the first four weeks of a school year. You are invited to come along and meet your child/children’s classroom teacher and find out what they will be learning this year and how the classroom will be operating. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.
Formal parent teacher meetings
Bluewater State School offers Formal Parent Teacher Interviews twice a year. They are held at the end of terms 1 and 3 of each year. These meetings will be communicated to parents through the School Newsletter and also a note will be sent home with dates and times offered.
Informal meetings
Contact with teachers is important, however, teachers are not able to attend to telephone calls or meetings with parents during learning time. If you require a meeting with a teacher we ask that you arrange a time through the office or directly with the staff member to allow ample time to discuss your concerns.
Newsletters
Newsletters are published fortnightly and available on our school website, via the QSchools app, and via email (where parents/carers have provided the school with an email address).

Parents can download the QSchools app which is mobile-friendly. All information on QSchools originates from our website. Some of the key features are news items, calendar, contact details, newsletters.
Facebook page
Facebook: search for Bluewater State School, like the page to receive notifications. We advertise events on this page and also share photos of events. We find Facebook is a great way to get a message out to the wider community quickly.
