The P&C Association has adopted a school dress code for the school. It is an expectation that all students wear the school uniform. Students must wear the school uniform whenever attending and representing the school including events and when on excursions.
The school dress code is royal blue shorts, skorts or skirt. Bluewater State School shirt and closed in shoes. We would prefer that students wear joggers that are comfortable to run, play, jump, kick and walk in, there is no preferable colour for shoes or socks. There are no mandated uniform requirements relating to jumpers or long clothing.
While not a compulsory part of the uniform, shorts, skorts, hats and library/homework bags displaying the school logo are available for purchase in addition to the compulsory Bluewater State School shirt.
From June 2017, the P&C have partnered with The School Locker to have them sell uniform and other items displaying the Bluewater State School logo—this is the only shop authorised to sell these items. From this date, only hats & library / homework bags will be available for purchase from the tuckshop (as an emergency purchase)—the tuckshop no longer sells shirts, shorts or skorts.
The School Locker’s Townsville store is open 7 days per week—located in Domain Central (opposite Bunnings, between Beacon Lighting & Supercheap). Items can also be purchased online 24/7 for collection from their store (free) or delivered to wherever you wish (e.g. home, work, relative’s place, etc.—a delivery fee will apply).
The School Locker provide a donation to the P&C for all items (not just items with Bluewater School logo on them) purchased from them by Bluewater State School families. To ensure the P&C receive this donation, please register for your Student Advantage Card the first time you shop in store and use your card when shopping at The School Locker.
